Morris Animal Refuge Marketing Interview for Small Business Saturday
Please watch our Small Business Saturday Marketing Interview with Morris Animal Refuge in Philadelphia.
Located in the Washington Square section of Philadelphia, Morris Animal Refuge still operates out of the home of the shelter original founder, Elizabeth Morris. The shelter has been operating in the city since it’s doors first opened in 1858.
This refuge is an open admission and lifesaving shelter, meaning that they accept any and every animal that is in need of a home. The Refuge commits their shelter’s services to animal adoptions, education, and high-quality care.
Morris Animal Refuge is proud to be America’s first animal shelter. At the Refuge, they believe that every animal deserves a chance to find happiness. To help achieve this, the shelter takes in animals of all kinds despite age, birth defects, or behavior problems. Once the shelter takes in an animal, they set up a personalized plan of action so that the animal can become their best selves.
The shelter has a trained vet on staff 4-5 days a week to make sure that all animals are cared for and get the attention they need. This important part of Morris’ mission has allowed Morris Animal Refuge to have a 97% save rate among their shelter residents.
If you’re looking to find the newest addition to your family, the Refuge has a number of furry friends available for adoption. Champ, a tiny black cat with birth defects leaving his front paws inverted, is still at the shelter waiting to be rescued.
All of their adoptable animals can be found online on their website, but the shelter always encourages walk-ins as well. If you can’t adopt, you can still help Morris Animal Refuge. They have a number of fundraising events throughout the year and are always looking for new fosters and supply donations.
You can find our friends at Morris Animal Refuge online on their Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter pages. You can also visit their website for all of the latest information regarding the shelter and its adoptable furry friends.
