How to Use AI for SEO Keyword Research

Use this guide to learn how you can use AI to conduct SEO Keyword Research when preparing a content strategy for your website!

Why Use AI for Keyword Research?

The digital marketing landscape is continuously changing, and one area that is evolving quickly is SEO. Recently, this has been due to the evolution of AI. It has become a massive game changer for SEO, keyword research specifically. This sophisticated technology can assist you in locating the most relevant keywords for your content, saving you time and effort.
In this blog, we’ll walk you through the steps of using AI for SEO keyword research. By the end, you’ll be able to use AI to vet the best keywords and develop content that ranks higher on search engines.

Introduction to AI Keyword Research

Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to revolutionize keyword research in SEO. By using AI-powered tools, you can analyze vast amounts of data and generate insights that would be impossible to obtain manually. More importantly, you can generate long lists of keywords in seconds. While the list of capabilities is long, in this guide, we will focus on using ChatGPT, an AI language model developed by OpenAI, and SEMrush, a popular SEO tool.

SEO in 2025 Tips

Step 1: Brainstorming Keywords with ChatGPT

To start your AI keyword research, you need to brainstorm a list of relevant keywords. You can use ChatGPT to generate a list of potential keywords related to your business or niche. To do this, provide a brief description of your business or the topic you want to cover in your content.

For example, if you are writing about digital marketing, you could prompt ChatGPT with a question like: “What are some relevant keywords for a digital marketing blog?”

ChatGPT will then generate a list of keywords that you can use for further research.

Step 2: Using SEMRush for Keyword Research

Once you have a list of potential keywords, it’s time to analyze them using SEMrush. This tool will help you identify the search volume, keyword difficulty, and other important metrics for each keyword. To use SEMrush for keyword research, follow these steps:

  1. 1. Sign up for an SEMrush account, if you don’t already have one.
  2. 2. Log in to your account and navigate to the “Keyword Magic Tool” in the left-hand menu.
  3. 3. Enter the keywords you brainstormed with ChatGPT into the search bar.
  4. 4. Click “Search” to see the results.

SEMrush will display a list of related keywords, along with their search volume, keyword difficulty, and other relevant data. You can use this information to determine which keywords are worth targeting.

Step 3: Selecting the Best Keyword

When selecting the best keyword to target, consider the following factors:

  1. Keyword difficulty: This metric indicates how hard it is to rank for a particular keyword. Lower keyword difficulty scores indicate that it’s easier to rank for that keyword.
  2. Search volume: This metric shows the number of times a keyword is searched for in a given time frame. Higher search volumes indicate greater potential traffic for your content.

To select the best keyword, look for the one with the lowest keyword difficulty and the highest search volume. This will help you maximize your chances of ranking higher in search results.

Step 4: Generating Keyword Variations with GPT

Once you have identified the best keyword to target, you can use ChatGPT to generate variations of that keyword. This will help you target a wider range of search queries and improve your content’s visibility in search results. To generate keyword variations with ChatGPT, follow these steps:

  1. 1. Return to your ChatGPT interface.
  2. 2. Provide a prompt that includes the selected keyword and asks for variations. For example, if your chosen keyword is “AI keyword research,” you could prompt ChatGPT with: “Please generate 2-3 variations for the keyword ‘AI keyword research.'”
  3. 3. Review the keyword variations generated by ChatGPT and select the ones that are most relevant to your content.

Remember that using a variety of keywords in your content can help you rank for multiple search queries and reach a wider audience.

Step 5: Prompting GPT to Write Blogs Using Keyword Variations

Now that you have your main keyword and its variations, it’s time to create content that incorporates these keywords. You can use ChatGPT to help you write SEO-optimized blog posts. To do this, read our latest blog, How to Use ChatGPT to Write SEO Content, or follow these steps:

  1. 1. Return to your ChatGPT interface.
  2. 2. Provide a prompt that includes the main keyword, its variations, and a brief description of the topic you want to cover. For example: “Please write an introductory paragraph for a blog post about AI keyword research, including the following variations: AI-driven keyword research, artificial intelligence keyword analysis.”
  3. 3. Review the generated content and edit it as needed to ensure it’s well-structured, engaging, and informative.
  4. 4. Repeat this process for each section of your blog post, making sure to incorporate the main keyword and its variations throughout the content.

By leveraging AI to create your content, you can save time and effort while ensuring your blog posts are optimized for search engines.

Conclusion - You Made It!

AI has the potential to revolutionize the way we approach SEO keyword research. By using tools like ChatGPT and SEMrush, you can streamline the keyword research process and create content that ranks higher in search results. Follow the steps outlined in this guide to harness the power of AI for your SEO keyword research and elevate your content strategy to new heights.

How to Use ChatGPT to Write SEO Content

Use this guide to learn how you can use ChatGPT to write SEO content to scale your overall content marketing strategy tremendously!

Why Use ChatGPT to Write SEO Content?

SEO is undoubtedly one of the most important tactics for organic lead generation across all businesses. However, anyone that writes content, knows that it can be very time-consuming and stressful. One method to avoid long brainstorms and tedious editing is using ChatGPT quite literally to write the content for you. That said, it’s important to use ChatGPT ethically and carefully so Google does not penalize your content.

So without further ado, here is how to use ChatGPT to write SEO content in 4 steps.

Step 1: Choose a Topic and Generate Ideas Using ChatGPT

To start, do some manual keyword research around a single topic. Then use ChatGPT to generate specific blog topics and ideas around your specific term. For example, if you are writing a blog post about “digital marketing,” you can ask ChatGPT to generate specific subtopics such as “email marketing,” “social media marketing,” “SEO,” and “content marketing.”

Remember, it’s important that when you use ChatGPT to generate ideas, refrain from a simple copy and paste. It’s important that you only use them as a starting point to generate unique and original content like I am in this video.

Woman's profile silhouette overlaid with a collage of digital images, a brain illustration, and glowing geometric network nodes, representing AI-powered content and machine learning.

Step 2: Use ChatGPT to Create an Outline and Fill in the Gaps

After generating a list of subtopics and ideas, use them to assist with writing the structure for your blog outline by prompting ChatGPT to generate an outline using the subtopics and ideas you’ve decided to focus on. After you have an outline, proceed by filling in the gaps and elaborating where you see necessary. It’s important to note that the quality of ChatGPT’s output is determined by the specificity of your input, so if you’re not pleased with the outline, reword your input! Sometimes it helps to copy & paste and example, and set guidelines for things like the number of words, paragraphs, headers, etc.

If you give ChatGPT the right ingredients, it will bake something fantastic!

Step 3: Edit and Refine the Content

Now that you have a rough draft of your blog with a mix of A.I. and original content, it’s important to check that content in an A.I. checker like writer.com. This will help ensure that the blog post is well-written, easy to read, and free of grammatical errors, and most importantly, not penalized by Google.

During this phase, be sure to write in your own voice so that your content is captivating and reflects your style. After all, that’s why your readers chose your content over someone else’s. This will help ensure that the blog post is original and not simply a regurgitation of ChatGPT-generated content.

Step 4: Use Ethical SEO Practices

Lastly, make sure you’re doing everything you can to implement the best SEO practices. After you run your blog through an A.I. detector, it’s important to upload it to your website with metadata, internal links, keywords, and more. Below is a brief checklist to keep handy. You can also check out our marketing blog for more resources!

  • Using a unique and descriptive title that accurately reflects the content of the blog post
  • Including relevant and informative meta descriptions and alt text for images
  • Using keyword research to identify relevant and high-traffic keywords to include in the blog post
  • Writing for the reader, not just for search engines
  • Avoiding keyword stuffing and other unethical SEO practices

Conclusion - You Made It!

With all of the information you just learned, there is one thing I want you to keep in mind. ChatGPT is like a steroid.

If you’re a seasoned vet in the gym, steroids will help you. If you’ve never been to the gym and you use steroids, they will have a negative effect.

So before you begin using ChatGPT to write content, you need to be a content expert. Feel free to use our blogs and resources to learn as much as you can about content and SEO.  And remember, it’s important to use ChatGPT ethically and always add your own unique perspective to the content generated.

With practice, you can create valuable blog posts that are both informative and engaging for your readers.

Content Writing Guide: 10 Beneficial Tips

Content Writing Guide: 10 Beneficial Tips!

Do you want to learn how to write engaging and interesting content? If so, pay attention as we are going over useful tips and what to avoid in this content writing guide!

Content Writing Guide

Although 98 percent of all marketing teams use written content, one-third of marketers say their content creation is only “somewhat” efficient. In other words, there’s a lot of content out there that could be much better.

Use this Content Writing Guide for useful and practical tips to improve the efficiency and quality of your content, and drive more traffic to your page!

10 Practical Content Writing Tips

An average content writer must be able to research an idea and write about it in a compelling way. In addition, self-discipline and time management are required, and knowledge of SEO best practices is beneficial.

To help you achieve better results, here are 10 tips to keep in mind when writing content.

Content Writing Guide Beneficial Tips

Think Of A Persuasive Headline

Let’s say you have 100 visitors to your blog. On average, 80 percent of them will read your headline, but only 20 percent will read the rest. In other words: your headlines need frequent revision and correction.

Good headlines contain specific information and some details to attract readers, but they do not tell the whole story. Users usually want to read content that they can learn something from, whether it’s how to write better content or a list of the hottest NBA draft candidates.

Engage Your Readers With An Intriguing Introduction

Suppose a reader was enticed by the headline to click on your content. Now you need to get them to read on.

That’s easier said than done, because 57 percent of a reader’s time on a page is spent just above the fold, before they scroll. On the second screen, that number drops to 17 percent, and only the most avid readers make it further.

In other words: If your introduction doesn’t immediately grab the reader’s attention, don’t expect them to stick around. The best way to get your customers to read is to engage them directly with the information promised in the headline.

Write For Your Audience

A catchy introduction can help you sustain your readers’ attention over time, but it’s not a panacea. You must always tailor your writing to a specific audience.

For example, consider the difference between an article on “great content writing” and one on “great writing”

If this were an article about “great writing,” the reader could range from a high school student to a journalist suffering from writer’s block. Trying to write for all these audiences could lead to a lot of effort and disastrous results. Find your specific audience and cater to their needs.

Narrow The Focus Of Your Article

From the headline to the conclusion, each article must convey a single clear idea. Using this method, you can make more logical arguments, write content that flows naturally, and provide clear insights to your readers.

Unless you’re writing a column page that is the centerpiece of a broader discussion, keep your focus as narrow as possible. You can’t give advice that applies to everyone, but if you narrow your focus, you can provide real value on a particular topic

Be Engaging

No matter how appealing your headline is, if your content does not quickly engage readers once they arrive on your page, they’ll bounce.

As a writer, you have probably heard that simple language is key when it comes to writing content.

However, research has shown that content with high readability (shorter sentences) does not perform noticeably better than content with lower readability.

To write engaging content, you need to use language that the target audience likes and understands. This is exactly why oversimplifying or complicating your text will most likely be less effective.

Write for Users First, Search Engines Second

Write for people first and search engines second. Simply put, make sure your keywords are used naturally. In the case of keyword stuffing and poor quality content, Google may actually de-index your content.

Avoid keywords that are not relevant to your text. Keywords with a high search volume do not necessarily match your content.

Provide Information That Readers Want

Let’s say you searched Google for content writing tips, found this article, and then discovered a wealth of information about creating high-quality video content.

Or let’s say this article didn’t contain any detailed advice, but instead a 2,000-word article about why high-quality content is important, without showing you what it looks like or how to create it.

In that case, you’d probably never return to that website. That’s why it’s so important to do keyword research to find out what users want from your content before you start writing.

Use An Outline

Now it’s time to create an outline after you’ve researched and figured out what your target market expects from your content.

What is the point of outlining your content? It helps in creating a valuable, well-structured article. It also helps you find valuable sources and statistics that support your arguments and provide additional details.

The process is straightforward. Simply arrange the questions from your keyword results in a logical order. For example, “What is SEO?” followed by “Why is SEO important?”

For example, should you put multiple references in a single paragraph? Break these topics into subsections with subheadings. Use this Content Writing Guide as an example!

Include Actionable Tips

The goal in writing content should be to provide something useful to readers. That way, they are more likely to share the content and come back for more later. They may even subscribe to your mailing list or download gated content.

The easiest way to teach your readers something new is to give them concrete, actionable advice on how to do what you are talking about.

That’s why you need to be an expert in your field to do this well. Talk about how you solve real world problems step by step. Refer to the methods and tools you use, and if you developed them yourself, all the better.

Adding Trust Factors

A great deal of information is available online. Even if you’re writing for a niche market, there are probably hundreds of articles on similar topics.

Why should readers favor your content over others? Your content needs to be trustworthy if you want to stand out from the crowd. Readers are more likely to stick with your content if they find it thorough and credible.

Therefore, it’s best to link to trusted sources to back up your claims. The credibility of your content can be increased by linking to major media sources, government websites, universities, and well-known brands. In fact, it’s a good sign if a reputable website links to your content. It indicates trustworthiness.

Use this Content Writing Guide whenever you are creating written content to ensure success!

Remember, one of the most important steps in content writing is identifying your target audience. You can only create compelling content if you know who you’re writing for and what their needs are. Sure, you can write an engaging copy, but it’s unlikely to lead to leads or sales because it’s not targeted to the right people.

Always keep your target audience in mind, and you’ll be sure to produce quality content. At Momentum Digital, we look forward to hearing from you if you need further assistance with your content creation.

6 Brilliant Ideas for Developing a Winning Blog Content Plan

Review Our Top 6 Brilliant Ideas for Developing a Winning Blog Content Plan

Want to learn how to create content that attracts readers and promotes your brand? If so, keep reading to know the secret to a successful blog!

Why should you blog?

In the digital marketing world, many believe that the big players, social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter are the only way to establish and promote their brand. They tend to neglect the long-term prosperity that a professional blog can bring to their business. When it comes to blogging, people first think of the old-fashioned way of blogging that was once popular because there was no other alternative available.

What they don’t know is that none of these platforms can have as much impact on their brand as a well-planned blog. It’s like a root that connects all the other channels and holds them in place. So if there’s one area you need to focus on to get lasting results for growing your business, it’s blogging. All other channels usually lead to your blog in one way or another, so it’s basically the image of your entire brand.

But how can you present a polished and sophisticated image of your brand to your audience through your blog? The first factor you should consider is planning. You may think that there are many competitors in your niche that are already good at blog planning and there is no more room for you. On the contrary, there are some new brilliant ideas that can help you create a winning blog content plan that is spectacular and can take you to a higher place in this tough competition:

Be Clear With Your Goals

Clear and specific goals are an inseparable part of smart planning. The first step to creating a winning blog content plan is to set goals. You need to ask yourself a series of questions. What exactly do you want to accomplish, when do you want to hit them, how do you want to accomplish those goals, and who is your target audience? Finding the answers to these questions can be enormously helpful. They can help you identify the most effective approaches and apply them smoothly

how to write a winning blog

Focus on Your Target Audience

You probably do not want and cannot have all the people on the Internet as your audience. Find people who are interested in your niche and try to create content that will appeal to them the most. Once you figure out who your target audience is, you can start planning your blog content to be both useful and entertaining to them. You should keep this in mind at every step of creating a winning blog content plan.

Brainstorm Your Ideas

One aspect content creators usually struggle with is finding appropriate topics to write about. Start by fearlessly jotting down any ideas that come to mind for the various categories of your blog. Some people are afraid to put pen to paper and start writing before they have everything planned out in their heads. Brainstorming, however, is all about writing without thinking too much. Do not worry, at the end of the day, you will have a large number of different topics that you should go through carefully. Remember, it’s easier to choose from too many topics than to not have enough topics.

Create Flavorful Content

Think of the content of your blog as a cuisine. You need to use the best ingredients, follow each step of your recipe carefully, and add the right amount of spices to make a mouth-watering dish for your target audience. If people like the taste of your content, they will share it with their friends! This will help you grow your brand organically. There are some aspects you need to pay attention to if you want to create tasty content that your readers will enjoy.

In this case, your ingredients are different aspects of language like grammar and vocabulary. Your recipe is your writing style and the way you string words and phrases together and in what order. Your seasonings are amusing stories, funny jokes, or occasional metaphors to give additional flavor to the overall content. The content you feed your readers should also be nutritious, meaning it should provide them with new useful information. You want you blog to be relevant, fun and easy to read, but you also should focus on making SEO-Friendly Blog Content so that it ranks on Google.

Do Your Research

Closely examine successful blogs in your industry and find out what types of posts and topics can be found there. Of course, you shouldn’t copy their content, but you can get a rough idea of what’s trending. Try to use this in your own content. Reading comments is also very important because it helps you understand what problems and issues your audience is dealing with. If you find the solutions to their problems, you can win their hearts effortlessly.

Make a Schedule and Keep Up With It

A winning blog content plan is impossible without a careful schedule: a well-thought-out roadmap for consistently implementing your blog content plan. How many blog posts do you need per week? Depending on your business, competitors, goals, and your target audience, decide how much content you want to produce weekly. Put the topic of each blog post on a calendar. You should consider every single holiday and create content that fits each occasion. Also, you can run different campaigns on these special days to drive more traffic to your website.

Look at Examples from a Successful blog

Now that you’ve learned what makes a wining blog content plan, look at successful blogs for examples of the plan in action. Identify the steps listed here, written within the posts on the website. Let’s take a look at Lifehacker.com. Notice how the topics of many of these blogs are incredibly specific. So specific, that its safe to assume that a very low percentage of people on the internet will need to read about it. However, the few that are searching for this material will end up on this website because it is the only one writing about these niche topics! Lifehacker is able to create articles like because it has grown to be one of the biggest blogs on the internet. The website consistently uploads a new blog every 30 minutes, and these niche topics add up to millions of monthly visits!

Thanks for taking the time to learn about Improving your blog!

As you have probably noticed, creating a winning blog content plan is not as confusing and complicated as it sounds. It just takes a good strategy, discipline, and patience to succeed. Some people assume that their blog content plan is sacred and should never be adjusted. This not true at all.

You want your blog content plan to be flexible and adaptable as needed. Sometimes unexpected events occur and you need to create relative content for those events and add blog posts to your schedule, other times you need to remove some topics from your calendar, and all of this is normal and part of the natural process of your blog content plan. If you have any questions or need more tips for your schedule, do not hesitate to reach out to our team of experts.

How to Increase Engagement on Your Blog

Make Your Blog More Engaging with These 5 Tips!

Your blog is the trunk of the tree to which all of your social media channels lead, so it better be good! In this blog, we’ll review 5 Ways to Increase Engagement on Your Blog.

Is Your Blog Really Important?

The answer is “Yes”, with the exception of very few industries, your blog is extremely important. Contrary to popular belief, social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter are not a substitute for blogging, but a supplement. Your social media and blog oftentimes rely on each other to fulfill their potential. Social Media without a landing page is good for nothing but brand awareness and a blog without a brand will never be read.

Scenario 1: Blog Without a Brand

A blog without a brand is like the guy that holds a sign and preaches to the masses on the corner outside of your office. Do you have one of those guys? We sure do. He has boatloads of information to share, but no one pays him any mind. Why? For one, he comes off as crazy. More importantly, he has no credibility! No one will ever know if what he has to share is accurate or inaccurate, so why listen? Or in this case, why read?

In order to get people to read your blog, you need to build brand awareness and social credibility. The way you do that is through social media, creating both long and short-form video content. So if you feel like you have a great blog, lots of information to share, and are an expert in your field, but lack a presence on social media, start summarizing those blogs in 30 seconds or less on social media!

How to Increase Engagement on Your Blog
Scenario 2: Brand Without a Blog

So, what if you have the brand? You have a social media presence, your target demographic knows your brand, and you’re getting all of the engagement you could hope for. Great, you’re doing something right. But where do you send that traffic? Exactly, a blog! Again, with the exception of very niche industries, a blog is where you should be sending your social media audience. Why? Because you can only cover so much on social media!

In order to truly sell your audience on a product, you’ll need to provide them with more information, more testimonials, and more reasons to buy from you and not your competitors! There’s no better place to do that than in a blog. Not to mention, a well-written blog could become a source of traffic in itself as long as its SEO optimized.

How to Make Your Blog More Engaging

Now that you’re sold on the importance, it’s important to increase the engagement on your blog. How can you do that? Read on to find out!

How to Capture Your Readers Attention in Your Blog
  1. Set Clear Goals: Just like anything else in life, you need to have clear goals in order to accomplish anything. What exactly would you like your blog content to accomplish? How do you want your blog to be perceived? What type of content does your target audience prefer to consume? Some answers may be How-to content, Step-by-step Guides, witty narratives, etc. Your options are endless, and I would suggest weighing all of them. At Momentum Digital, we aim to create concise blogs about digital marketing for small businesses, organized in a how-to or step-by-step format, often paired with a detailed video.
  2.  Consider Your Target Audience: Clearly, if you’ve made it this far you already have somewhat of an idea about the audience you should be targeting with your content. With that said, do you have a legitimate understanding of what’s going on inside their head? What questions are they asking themselves, what problems are they looking to solve, and why would they click on your site? If you can take some time to answer those questions accurately, you’ll have a winning blog. An easy way to ensure you have the correct answers is through a simple survey blasted out to all of your past clients or customers.
  3. Don’t Recreate the Wheel: In a world where there is little to no original thought, there’s no reason to try and recreate the wheel. Chances are, there’s not a single question you could search that doesn’t have a blog to answer it, so don’t waste your time. In other words, don’t spend too much time brainstorming topics once you understand what questions your audience is struggling to answer. Simply conduct a few relevant searches, find relevant articles, and use them as a reference to write a better, more helpful blog with your own twist and in your own words.
  4. Include Added Value: While this seems to be common sense, it’s often something that’s overlooked. Of course, if you’re an expert in your industry and a half-decent writer you’re going to provide value. It’s the added value that keeps visitors coming back. That added value can manifest itself in many different ways. One of the most common methods is internal and external linking. You want to create a value-filled rabbit hole on your website. You can do so by linking to your or another website’s blogs multiple times throughout your articles. Or, maybe you provide a downloadable guide or a free training video. Adding extra value is always worth the extra effort and arguably the most important box to check when trying to increase engagement on your blog.
  5. Include Visual Content: I can’t emphasize the importance of visual content enough. Yes, written content is great but it’s not for everyone. Especially in the lazy world we live in today. It’s important that you sprinkle in video content and graphics to help get your message across. Your blog is a great place to include creative content that isn’t pretty enough for your social media profiles. Like infographics, charts, graphs, and long-form videos.

Stay Organized!

With the art of creating engaging blog content mastered, the next most important skill to add to your arsenal is organization and planning! Luckily for you, there are a handful of ways to keep your research, ideas, and drafts organized. At Momentum, we keep it simple with Google Spreadsheets (read this article from HubSpot about using Google Spreadsheets as a content calendar) and numerous copywriters, editors, and publishers. You might prefer something like Asana, or a different project management software.
